Loose

I'm not loose. I never have been. But Olivia's tooth is. Her first one and it's so much fun. She is ready to burst with excitement. I think she probably fell asleep last night wiggling her tooth. We're all out of apples because she's trying to loosen it even more. (No, really, we're out of apples because our kitchen is closing for 10 days as we head to Diego although she did try to use one of our remaining apples.)

I don't like loose teeth. In fact Sydney from down the street tried to show me her gnarly loose tooth the other day and I told her she had the wrong person. I told her she needed to see George when he came home from work.

We're going to hook up with my long lost pal Matz in Diego on Saturday. This is a treat. I hope she shows me some photos of the alleged trip she took to Africa.

Crawling

The Prince started crawling today. Sometimes he forgets but he can definitely get across a room. Now the Mission Beach sand will be everywhere. Yeah!!! XOXO, little dude.

A beginning

Inspired by some friends in Nashville I decided to start this tonight. George is irritated with me for starting this at 10:30pm and yet he is continuing to shout out possible titles for our blog. "Six breasts and four balls, Horny on Holly Trace Way, Haven't Even Read Yesterday's Paper, Naturally Chatty..." and the list goes on. I am doing this to have some fun in this techno world of ours and also to try and update our family and friends more regularly on the loves of our lives. Those three crazies that live here are too funny and too cute. So hopefully we can be better at sharing stories and photos and hopefully even a video or two from time to time.

Our weekend was full of fun. We went out for a fun dinner on the waterfront Friday with Aunt Liz and our new Uncle Allen. The other Uncle Alan is in Arizona and Meg calls him "the different Uncle Alan." It was a treat to spend the evening with them. George and I also snuck out on Saturday to see Iron Man. Nothing like a LOUD summer blockbuster to distract you from how tired you really are. It was the first time I have left the kids with a sitter feeling really unsure. Usually I have it all nice and calm and we walk out the door. Will was very unhappy, Meg couldn't see straight she was so tired and Olivia was covered in paint while working on a craft. When we returned home, all were sound asleep and alive. I quizzed Olivia in the morning about how things really went. There were a few disconcerting things, to which George stated that he was most worried about whether or not Madeliene (the sitter) was traumatized - not so much worried about how much the kids were traumatized.

We finished the weekend with a family outing to the swimming pool for a picnic and fun. Meg fell in love with Superman and Batman found in the pool and has put them to bed in her room. We'll all be safe tonight with superheroes under our roof.
