Overload

All the time I think about things that would go well on my blog. That is how far they go. They remain in my head or, well, in my brain and then right on out of my brain. I am sure there is a supplement I should be taking to improve this situation but I haven't gotten on that bandwagon yet either. I seem to have too much on my mind lately. It has resulted in less sleep. This all became abundantly clear when I returned from vacation and resumed my insomnia. I didn't watch any tv and I hardly ever (BARELY!) used the computer while we were away. I was on vacation and apparently when I am living my normal, day to day life I contribute to global warming by using a lot of mental energy. I am certain that the electronic things are largely to blame for my insomnia. There are others as well but I think the electronic entertainment should really bear the brunt of the blame. Then there are things like grocery items we need, what in the @#!$@** should I make for dinner, does Olivia have clean uniforms for school tomorrow, how many more shoes will I find scattered about the house, I have to get to the gym to run, I should probably invest in some gold like yesterday and what will the dollar be worth when my poor children reach adulthood (if there is any USA left by then), and finally, where can I get some cotton pickin' chocolate now that I have some peace and quiet.

All kidding aside, the computer and the television are such wonderful forms of entertainment and education (provided I use the correct avenue). There is so much going on in our country right now. I am very compelled to correspond with my lame ass congresspeople on a myriad of subject. It's the least I can do. I like to read and educate myself about what is going on with our economy and I don't mean just is the dow up or down. And you can't trust just a single source for good information (i.e., it is time consuming to really educate yourself).

I just lost my momentum because I was interrupted by two girls who won't stay in their beds and I am about to blow a gasket. Geez.

Oh, and I am supposed to tell you that Olivia lost a tooth last night. That was quite memorable, actually. She performed her first official act of dentistry by pulling out her own tooth. I couldn't even stand to watch. I will hopefully get a picture of the new smile posted soon. Don't hold me to it, though.

While I type, "Oh the Lord is good to me. And so I thank the Lord. For giving me, the things I need, the sun, the rain and the ..." is coming down the stairwell as Meg sings it loudly from her bed.

Ya know, that pretty much sums it up. The Lord is good to me. Amen.

PS Gina and Max, enjoy your honeymoon!

• maybe you should carry a small paper pad in your purse to write all these happenings down...but then i guess you'd have to remember that you had the pad to begin with...i give up! :)
